John Karaisik, MQP

John Karaisik started training in Daoist martial arts over 20 years ago while he was working on his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Since then, he's earned the rank of Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) and has become a Sensei in the art. He has also been certified to teach Taijiquan. In addition, he was certified by the International College of Medical Qigong as a Medical Qigong Practitioner.

 

John is a founding member of both Jade Phoenix Healing and Austin Spirituality Group. He is an associate of the Rune-Guild, a friend of The Silk Road Foundation, and a member of T'ang Studies Society. John is also a member of the American Tarot Association and Free Tarot Network as well as of a Daoist studies scholarly research website.

 

John has been studying Tarot and other divination methods. He is talented in reading Tarot cards, runes, I Ching using yarrow stalks and coins, as well as other methods. He is exploring the possibilities that divination creates and hopes to develop his skills further.

 

In the past few years, John has become a student of Quanzhen Daoism under an ordained Daoist priest, and a student of Gnosticism under a Gnostic bishop. He is happily pursuing paths with these schools.
